Late gospel singer Bolaji Olanrewaju, aka Big Bolaji, has been laid to mother earth at All Souls Private Cemetery in Ido, Ibadan.
Big Bolaji died on April 19 at the age of 50 following a brief illness.
The burial ceremony started on Wednesday, May 28th, bringing together family, friends, and popular gospel celebrities to pay tribute to the late singer.
The final rites began at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, with a lying-in-state and memorial service.

Prominent gospel artists, including Tosin Bee, Mike Abdul, Bidemi Olaoba, and Yetunde Are, joined popular comedian Woli Agba and other well-wishers to pay their last respects.
After the service, a funeral procession began to All Souls Private Cemetery.
Big Bolaji’s wife, siblings, and loved ones all gathered at the gravesite, paying their last respects to the artist.

We recall that Big Bolaji, as he is fondly called, died on Easter Saturday, 19th April 2025.
A statement issued by his family reads:
“Official Statement from the Family of Bolaji Olarewaju. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bolaji. Olarewaju, affectionately known as “Big B,” a cherished father, husband, brother, and an esteemed figure in both the church community, an ordained pastor in the RCCG, and a giant in the music industry and our community.”

“Bolaji left us on Easter Saturday, 19th April 2025, after a brief illness. Details regarding the obsequies will be shared in due course as we come together to celebrate.
