Rapper Chris Brown was arrested today at a luxury hotel in Manchester. His arrest is in connection with a nightclub bottle attack in London.
Metropolitan Police officers detained the 36-year-old American artist just after 2 a.m. at The Lowry Hotel.
The arrest stems from an incident that took place on February 19, 2023, at Tape nightclub in Hanover Square, Mayfair, where Brown is alleged to have assaulted music producer Abe Diaw.
Diaw claims Brown carried out an unprovoked attack on him around 3 a.m. at the exclusive venue.
Brown had arrived in the UK on a private jet, landing at Manchester Airport the previous afternoon.

After inquiries by The Sun revealed his presence in the country, Met detectives travelled to Manchester to make the arrest.
He was taken into custody and is believed to be held at a local police station for questioning.
A Met Police spokesperson confirmed:
“A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

He remains in custody. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023.”
Afrobeats artist Davido revealed that American R&B star Chris Brown significantly impacted his career while explaining how they met.
The ‘Blow My Mind’ hitmaker said his career progressed after he met Breezy in 2018.

Davido shared the story of his first encounter with Chris Brown in a recent episode of the Bagfuel Brigade podcast.
He said,
“Meeting Chris Brown changed my life. I met him in 2018. He had a Nigerian friend, one of his best friends.

“The friend called me one day on Facetime and my song was playing at the background, I asked where he was and he said he was at Chris Brown’s house. I was like, ‘What? Y’all playing my music?’ And he showed me Chris dancing to my song.
“He gave Chris Brown the phone, that was the first time we had a conversation. A few months later, I went to America and linked up with Chris. From the first time we met, we just naturally became friends.”
