Asa Asika’s wedding took place over the weekend, and in a sudden twist of events, Davido broke down in tears as he gave an emotional speech.
Davido hold nothing back in thanking his manager for standing by him since the start of his career, although both men fell out at one point.
In a video that is going viral on social media, the OBO crooner could be seen wiping his eyes as he spoke at the traditional wedding on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, Davido wrote on X: “Asa, today shattered me… in the most beautiful way.
“Seeing you stand beside Leona, with peace in your eyes and love in your heart — I couldn’t hold it in. Not just because of the man you’ve become, but because of how you became him. Nothing was handed to us. We built this through fire, through faith, through a bond that never broke.
He added: “Leona… thank you. For loving him the way we all hoped someone would. You didn’t just join the journey — you became its purpose. You brought him home to himself. I promise, as long as I breathe, I’ll protect what you two have built.

Asa Asika’s wedding was well attended by industry big shots. While giving his groomsman speech at the wedding reception, Davido couldn’t hold back tears as he eulogised his manager.

In 2016, Asika founded The Plug, a talent management company. He has managed artistes such as Davido, Naeto C, YQ, and R2Bees.
The company expanded in 2022 through a merger with TopBoy Entertainment, founded by Tobi Mohammed.
He has received multiple recognitions, including the City People’s Artiste Manager of the Year award in 2018.
