EXPOSED: How Gunmen Snatched N100million At Nasarawa Ministry Of Finance

Suspected gunmen have reportedly invaded the Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance Budget and planning and carted away the sum of N100 million following sporadic shooting.

A source within the ministry confirmed to The Union Nigeria that the amount lost was N100 million in the attack which happened on Tuesday but have been kept hush by the state government.

An eyewitness said that the suspected armed robbers trailed officials of the state Ministry from First bank in Lafia, where the cash was withdrawn same day.

The money according officials of the ministry was withdrawn to pay casual workers of the ministry.

The eyewitness, however testified that it was at the point of dislodging the cash at the ministry’s premises that the gunmen stuck with several gun shot that scared the people.

The eyewitness however noted that the absence of security operatives in and around the finance ministry headquarters gave the robbers the guts to operate without fear.

The state Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Planning, Haruna Ogbole, confirmed the robbery incident but added that investigations were on going, though he did not disclosed the amount.

Trailing and snatching of huge money from bank customers by gunmen after withdrawal in Lafia the state capital has become a common trend that happen regularly.
