Four people have been detained by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Ondo State Command operations on suspicion of vandalism during the purported transportation of electrical transformer components, wires and communications cables from Kano to Lagos.
The accused, Mogaji Ibrahim, Umaru Adamu, Abba Muhazu, and Adamu Idris, were taken into custody at the former Ore Toll Gate in Odigbo Local Government Area, on the Lagos motorway.
Daniel Aidamenbor, the NSCDC spokesperson in Ondo State, stated that the arrest came after the command received actionable intelligence.

“They were apprehended while transporting vandalised telecommunication wires, BEDC equipment such as transformer parts, high tension cables, copper and armoured cables, and other cut-to-size metal objects from Kano to Lagos,” Aidamenbor said.
He confirmed that the items being conveyed by the suspects have been recovered and preserved as evidence.
