Samuel Adewunmi, a suspected ritualist, has been taken into custody by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command, on suspicion of causing serious physical injury to a two-month-old infant.
A portion of the infant’s torso was purportedly taken off behind the back of his skull by the suspect, also known as Ifa Science.
This was said in a statement sent to The Intercept on Wednesday and signed by Remilekun Ekundayo, the state commandant.
The statement said that Kola Taiwo, 53, who also happens to be the child’s father, provided the information that led to the arrest.

Ekundayo maintained that the offence is punishable under the Criminal Code Laws of the state and assured that the command
will do everything within its powers to ensure justice is appropriately served.
