Samson Oghenebreme, 25, was arrested by Odo-Noforija Police Division agents for illegally possessing human organs in the Odomola neighbourhood of Epe, Lagos.
Following a tip from watchful community members who informed the police of the suspect’s questionable activities, the arrest was made on April 25, 2025.
Oghenebreme was reportedly carrying the organs from Edo State to a local physician for use in purported money-making rituals, according to preliminary investigations.

The matter has been turned over to the Edo State Police Command for additional investigation and possible prosecution, and the seized human body parts have since been placed in safekeeping at the Epe General Hospital.

Olohundare Jimoh, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, emphasised the importance of early intelligence in fighting crime while praising the prompt action of his personnel and the alertness of the people of Odomola.
He also exhorted Lagos residents to stay vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity or persons to the closest police station.
