Unidentified gunmen have killed a man, Garbati Fnu and his son, Abubakar Babuga Garbati, along Bungudu-Duhuwa Road in Zamfara State.
According to information obtained by The Intercept, the gunmen also confiscated their motorbike.
A source claims that after being taken to the General Hospital Bungudu for an autopsy, their remains were given to their relatives to be buried.
It was also learnt that later that same evening, a group of armed bandits ambushed members of the Community Police Guards (CPG) operating at a checkpoint between Sauna and Gidan Kano along the Sokoto-Gusau highway.
The bandits overpowered the CPG members and abducted one of them, Asiru Dawa, and took him to an undisclosed location.

Military operatives have since launched an operation to track down the bandits and rescue the abducted CPG member.
Meanwhile, the police have yet to state the incidents.
