Based on reliable intelligence, troops from 3 Division and Operation Safe Haven carried out offensive operations against criminal elements’ hideouts on the outskirts of Pinau Village in the Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, neutralising many bandits in the process.
According to a statement from Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, Operation Safe Haven’s Media Officer, additional bandits fled with gunshot wounds, as shown by bloodstains found along their escape routes.
Troops recovered an AK-47 rifle and magazine, which they took into custody for further action.

According to the statement, follow-up operations are ongoing to intercept the fleeing criminals.
