Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, says he paid a pathologist ₦16 million for his son’s second autopsy.
Joseph Aloba made this claim during his recent TikTok live session.
“With all sincerity, I paid the first tranche of ₦16 million to the pathologist. After that, I spent close to ₦2 million. So, if the pathologist can come out to deny my claim, then don’t believe me again.
“Some people were saying it was ₦12 million that I paid, but I’m still telling you now that I paid ₦16 million.”
Mohbad’s father made the revelation a month after the independent autopsy and forensic medical review on Mohbad’s body by Dr. Uwom Eze failed to determine the cause of his death.
In June 2024, T.A. Shotobi, a Coroner Court magistrate in Ikorodu, Lagos State, granted permission to the singer’s father to hire a licensed pathologist for an independent autopsy.

Just last month, reports revealed that Mohbad, may have died from an allergic reaction resulting in multiple organ failure.
Uwom Eze, a forensic pathologist, dismissed claims that the singer died as a result of drug abuse.
Eze, who conducted the second autopsy and medical review on Mohbad, presented his findings during the coroner’s court sitting on Friday.
In his presentation, Eze argued that what was discovered in the singer’s system was not hard drugs but “regulated” doses of antihistamines, medications commonly used to treat allergy symptoms.

He added that he could not determine how the injection was administered, but upon examining the injury that led to it, he found it to be superficial.
“Even a newborn baby won’t die from that injury. At the time I conducted the autopsy, it wasn’t even there. Maybe because of the post-mortem changes on the body,” he said.

“I couldn’t tell how the injection was given, because I had already lost (his) fluids.”
The pathologist said the singer may have died from a “severe allergic reaction” to the injected substance, which led to multiple organ failure.
