Omowunmi Dada, the Nollywood actress, has opened up about undergoing a leg surgery after battling prolonged pain.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the film star shared a video capturing moments from her surgery to her recovery.
She disclosed that the fear of losing the ability to do basic tasks eventually pushed her to make the “difficult choice” to undergo the surgery.
She added that while the healing process is ongoing, she is grateful to God for the strength to recover.
“Sometimes, we carry our pain so quietly that the world celebrates us without realising the weight we bear behind the scenes,” she wrote.
“I had been dealing with leg pain for so long, yet I continued to show up, walk through sets, and smile through moments-but deep down, I was weathering a storm.
“Eventually, I had to make a difficult choice: I underwent surgery. The thought of losing control over the simple things we often take for granted-walking, using the bathroom, moving freely-was humbling.
“But God… He held me. I’m still healing, but my healing is beautiful.”

She also appreciated her doctors “for your skill and patience” and her loved ones for their support during her recovery.
“To my doctors, thank you for your skill and patience. To my friends who visited, called, messaged, and showed love in various ways-thank you,” she added.
“To my family, your strength became my own. And to anyone experiencing private pain: I see you. I feel you. I pray healing finds you.
“Let’s learn to extend grace. Not everything you see online reveals the whole story. Be kind. Be gentle. Life unfolds behind the scenes.”
Afrobeats singer, Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma, aka Qing Madi, has shared her thoughts about the Nigerian music industry.
The 18-year-old singer opined that the Nigerian music industry is “so dark.”
On her Instagram story, Madi wrote:
“The industry is so dark.”
Her opinion is in line the allegations of some of her colleagues like Reekado Banks, who recently claimed there is a “demonic” music executive sabotaging budding talents in the Nigerian music industry.
Last year, Qing Madi shared that she lost a lot of followers for preaching about Jesus Christ on social media.
She, however, said she did not regret her action despite losing followers.
Years back, Kizz Daniel made similar allegations about the Nigerian music industry, claiming it is a “cartel” being led by a “cabal.”
