Royal Verdict: Past MBCQ Queens Return as Judges

The Most Beautiful Campus Queen competition has appointed all five past winners as this year’s judges, creating a panel that knows exactly what it takes to wear the crown, but may be impossible to impress.

The decision represents Divine Johnson’s boldest gamble yet in his quest to revolutionise campus pageantry, banking on the belief that those who have lived the MBCQ experience are best qualified to identify who deserves to join their exclusive sisterhood.

As contestants prepare to face a jury that has walked in their exact shoes, the competition has upscaled from a beauty pageant into a strict evaluation by the very women whose achievements they hope to equal or surpass.

From a Guinness World Record holder to a celebrity model, world-class entrepreneur, Girl-Child advocate, and a creative visionary, the accomplishments of past queens have been called ‘intimidating’ by some critics, while others see them as either a source of inspiration or a potential limitation.

Contestants have been made to adjust and completely reimagine their strategies, understanding that surface-level charm and rehearsed answers will be immediately exposed by judges who have mastered those same techniques and can spot authenticity from calculated performance with excellent precision.

The controversial judging panel has attracted attention from pageant enthusiasts and critics who argue that the arrangement either represents the ultimate validation by those who truly understand the crown’s demands or the most unfair evaluation system ever devised for a beauty competition.

As contestants make final preparations to face the most knowledgeable and potentially most critical jury in MBCQ history, the competition has evolved into a master class in pageantry where only the most exceptional candidate can hope to earn validation from those who have already achieved the ultimate prize.

The past queens hold the power to crown a successor who will either join their ranks as an equal or be forever marked as the winner who fell short of their standards. This judging panel isn’t just evaluating contestants; they are making a statement about what the MBCQ crown truly represents and whether this year’s candidates possess the excellence necessary to carry on a legacy that five previous winners have established.

The stakes have never been higher, the judges have never been more qualified, and the potential for drama has never been more explosive as queens prepare to judge queens in the most anticipated MBCQ showdown in the competition’s history.
