Reality TV star Anita Natasha Akide, aka Tacha, says she will be pursuing a career in politics very soon.
In a recent interview with Ebuka, the BBNaija star, who was born and raised in Port Harcourt, expressed disappointment with the current situation in Rivers State, highlighting its untapped potential.
Tacha shared her views on the importance of youth involvement in governance, highlighting opportunities and talents that are not being fully utilised.

She said, “When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there, so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen.”
She noted that it’s more effective to actively participate in the government to bring about change, rather than criticizing from the outside.

When asked about her political ambitions, Tacha revealed that she is working on something and will share more details once she is 70% ready.
Tacha said, “It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense to grant interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved.”
The reality TV star also mentioned her intention to attempt to break the world record for the most makeup done in 24 hours, aiming at 150 people.

Meanwhile, Uriel Oputa is defending fellow alum Tacha against netizens shaming her over her enhanced body.
Recall that BBNaija’s Tacha, via her Instagram page, showed off her new figure after she recently underwent breast surgery, sparking criticism from some Nigerians who accused her of spoiling her body.
Uriel accused Nigerians of hypocrisy and selective memory, noting that they were the same individuals who mocked Tacha’s natural body in 2018.
