Famous Yoruba movie actor Bamidele Tope Saint, aka Okemesi, is dead.
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at around 11:50 a.m., Okemesi passed away at the hospital. The problems from medications given to the actor at the hospital caused him to go into a coma for a few hours before passing away.
Actor Tony Montana Jeff announced his passing in an Instagram video. The actor’s corpse has been placed in the mortuary.
“With a heavy heart, I’m announcing to the world that Okemesi is dead. The doctor pronounced him dead at exactly 11:50 a.m. this morning, February 24, 2026. Okemesi is gone.
“So, on behalf of the entire Bamidele family, I’m announcing to the world that Oluwatope Bamidele Saint Okemesi is dead. We have taken the body to the morgue. I will communicate the rest of the arrangements to you guys. We appreciate every one of you who turned up for him. May God forgive Okemesi and rest his soul,” he stated.

Due to an alleged spiritual attack that left him homeless and crippled, actor Okemesi begged for assistance earlier this month
The thespian disclosed in an interview with coworker Tony Montana that he has been in pain for about a year and that, despite medical intervention, his condition has gotten worse.
He claims that the attack started with a serious illness that left him paralysed and unable to stand or speak.
The comic actor claimed that after receiving medical care at a hospital, his illness continued, leading him to seek spiritual guidance from an Islamic cleric.
He attributed prayers and spiritual intervention for his gradual recovery. Appealing for support, particularly accommodation, Okemesi said he is now facing homelessness, relying on church premises for shelter, and struggling to meet basic needs.
