The Abia State Police Command rescued twelve children from various areas in Abia State, couple Sunday and Blessing Emebo.

The pair was arrested on May 19, 2025, at an alleged unregistered, unlawful motherless infants home at their flat on Ikot Ekpene road in Aba, according to DSP Maureen Chinaka, the spokesperson for the Abia State Police Command.

She noted that the ages of the recovered children ranged from six to fourteen months, and that the Police Command’s reliable intelligence enabled the arrest of the couple and the rescue of the twelve children.
