Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has blamed her youthful appearance on a mature relationship and a satisfying sexual life rather than her marital status.
The 48-year-old actress made an appearance on Morayo Afolabi-Brown’s show, The Morayo Show.
Ojo rejected the notion that a woman’s brilliance is determined by her marital status.
“We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married,” she said.
“I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough. Maybe those with marriage certificates aren’t getting enough.”
The actress also discussed her relationship with talent manager Paulo Okoye, characterising it as based on mutual understanding, respect, and maturity.
Ojo stated that even though each of them is preoccupied with their own careers, they manage their relationship by helping one another.

“We’re two mature people and two very busy people, but the most important thing is to understand each other, to support each other, to be there for each other,” she said.
“We fight. We have our ups and downs. It’s normal, but the most important thing is that we respect each other. We respect our space and what we do, and we just move on with that.”
In December 2022, Paulo and Ojo’s relationship was made public.
The actress stated in October 2023 that because of her connections to the profession, she first had doubts about dating Paulo.
She claimed that after verifying his marital status with coworkers, she then consented to the connection.
Paulo founded the talent management firm Upfront & Personal Global Management. He is the organiser of One Africa Fest, an annual celebration of African talent.
