Yet Another Delta Reps Candidate Indicted For Certificate Forgery

Just when Deltans assumed an end to certificate forgery scandals, yet another party candidate has been indicted.

Mr. Tamarakuro Juliano Obriki, All Progressives Congress (APC), House of Representatives Candidate for Bomadi/ Patani Federal Constituency has been dragged before an Abuja Federal High Court Sitting on accusation of invalid school certificate, The Union Nigeria reports.

Joined in the suit FHC/ABJ/OS/1120/2022, are the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The originating Summons issued upon application of Prince Collins Eselemor asks, “Whether the 1st Defendant who does not have a valid school certificate is qualified to contest the 2023 General Elections for Bomadi/ Patani Constituency in the House of Representatives;

“Whether the 1st Defendant is a fit and proper person to vie for the post of candidate for the elections into the House of Representative and be elected into the House of Representatives for the Bomadi/ Patani Constituency;

“Whether it is not a contravention of the provisions of the 1999 Constitution as amended for the 1st defendant who does not have a valid School Leaving Certificate to contest for the post of member, House of Representatives for the Bomadi/ Patani Constituency in the House of Representatives;

The Union Nigeria reached out to Mr. Tamarakuro Juliano Obriki via Telephone before the court summons where he said, “Certificate is not about media trial. They should go to my secondary or primary school to verify.

Further efforts to reach him proved abortive.
