The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) on Tuesday 26th April 2023 commenced the screening of the aspirants contesting for Anambra state house of assembly.

The screening which comprises of both the current lawmakers and new comers is expected to last for two days.

Anambra Speaker Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor while speaking with newsmen after the screen commended the party for conducting a peaceful exercise as prescribed by the electoral act.

Okafor who led the 7th Assembly Aspirants expressed confidence that the forth-coming primary election of the party will be free and fair.

Hon. Val Ejezuba aspirant for Ihiala 1 constituency after his screening assured his constituents that if voted into office, he will attract the dividence of democracy and tackle insecurity and unemployment.

Aspirant of Ihiala 2 constituency Hon. Jerom Chukwudi Mmadu in an interview with reporters stated that if voted into office, the challenges confronting his constituency will be a thing of the past.

“I will continue from where the current representative stopped. I will empower the youths. He promised

Hon. Chimezie Ekwunne, Aspiring to represent Awka North constituency stated that he will be the first lawmaker to create a constituency account which will be based on accountability and transparency if elected.

“As the food basket of the state, we will go into mechanised system of agriculture. There will be youth empowerment and legacy projects. Am here to rescue and transform Awka North. He concluded.

Hon. Peter Uchenna Aspirant of Dunukofia constituency stated that building the youths means building the nation and that through the constituency projects, he will make sure a good number of youths will be engaged and productive.

Hon. Chike Meluifeowu Aspiring to represent Onitsha South Constituency said his mission is to use the instrument of legislation to transform the life’s of his people through executing existing projects and institute.

“There’s always room for improvement and make more impact in the society. I will make sure that the dividends of democracy goes down to the grassroots.
