In Uturu, Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State, a gang of armed men on motorcycles shot and killed a teenage motorcyclist who was only named as Osinachi.
The shooters who fled after the shooting shot and killed the victim, who was on his own motorbike and emerging from a Uturu road corner.
Although the Abia State Police Command verified the occurrence and stated that it has started an investigation, it was unclear whether the attack was connected to a robbery or assassination, where the shooters originated, or where they went after the attack.

Message from the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO of the Abia Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka said the victim was taken to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
“A Report of the incident was made at the Uturu Divisional Headquarters, and officers were immediately mobilized to the crime scene, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

“The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead. His body has been deposited at the morgue.
” Exhibits were recovered from the scene, and a patrol team has been robboting the area as discreet Investigation is ongoing”, the PPRO said.
