The Niger State Police Command has detained two individuals in Brighter area of Minna, the state capital, for allegedly stealing a 35″ plasma TV, a remote control, and two aluminium pots.
SP Wasiu Abiodun, the command’s public relations officer, said this in a statement in Minna.
He claims that the suspects smashed through a window into a residence and took two aluminium pots, a remote control, and a 35-inch plasma TV, which they then hid in sack bags.
The Kwangila neighbourhood of Minna is home to the two accused, Abdullahi Garba, 45, and Musa Audu, 43.

The command’s public relations officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, made this known in a statement in Minna.
According to him, the suspects allegedly broke into a house through a window and stole a 35″ plasma TV, a remote control, and two aluminium pots, which they concealed in sack bags.
The two suspects, identified as Musa Audu, 43, and Abdullahi Garba, 45, are residents of the Kwangila area in Minna.

He disclosed that they were apprehended with the help of community members and are currently under investigation.
They are being investigated at the Chanchaga Division and will be arraigned in court for prosecution as soon as possible.
In a related operation, Abiodun revealed that the police also recovered 50 stolen sheep in Kontagora, and one Danrani Usman, 32, of Gengi village via Ibeto in Magama Local Government Area, was arrested with the stolen animals.

“On 27th April, 2025, at about 9 am, police operatives attached to ‘B’ Division Kontagora with vigilante members Danrani Usman with suspected 50 stolen sheep,” the police spokesperson stated.

He explained that the sheep were taken from Yangalu village via Magama Local Government Area.
He further stated that the suspect confessed to working with another individual, named Isah, who is currently at large.
The police are working to apprehend the second suspect.
