Habeeb Sheu has been taken into custody by the Kwara State Police Command on suspicion of breaking into a house in the state capital of Ilorin and taking sixteen mattresses.
The Federal Capital Territory citizen who owned the property, according to the authorities, had entrusted his younger brother with the possessions.
When Abdulrahman, a family member, performed a normal welfare check at the residence and discovered that it had been broken into and that eight orthopaedic mattresses were gone, the theft was discovered.

The suspect, who resides in the Sango neighbourhood of Ilorin, was taken into custody following further inquiry, according to Kwara State Police Command spokesperson SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, who verified the occurrence.

“The police recovered 16 mattresses from the suspect’s residence. Six mattresses were identified to be the orthopaedic mattresses the owner reported stolen, the other ten were assorted types.” She said.
SP Ejire-Adeyemi said the suspect is still in Police custody undergoing questioning, and the investigation is still ongoing to trace and apprehend other accomplices and recover stolen items.
