Those found guilty of abduction have been given the death penalty by the Ondo State Government.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Saturday during the monthly State Executive Council meeting, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the state, Kayode Ajulo, stated that kidnappers will be executed upon conviction.

Ajulo highlighted that the action was a component of the state’s efforts to bolster security and guarantee the protection of its citizens. The majority of the victims were slain in the state’s recent war with abduction, and the relatives of the victims paid hefty ransoms.
Ajulo also emphasised that kidnapping and cultism have become major threats to safety and public order. He maintained that strengthening relevant legal frameworks would help deter such crimes and improve the overall security landscape.
