Nollywood Actor and producer Olaide Olabanji has called his coworker Mercy Aigbe “an ingrate,” saying that she paid him back with “wickedness” after he introduced her to the industry on his own.

After her triumph, Aigbe’s conduct toward him changed significantly, according to the filmmaker, who emphasised that she even blocked him on social media.

Olabanji stated in a recent interview with media personality Oyinmomo that the actress, who used to be kind and approachable, now comes across as aloof and antagonistic whenever they come into contact.

He further alleged that Aigbe resents him to the extent of wishing him “death.”

He said, “I brought Mercy Aigbe into the movie industry. I saw her in a shop in 2004 and asked her if she could act. She said yes, and I put her on. But now she is blocking me. To her, it is as if I should no longer exist.”

Mercy Aigbe is yet to react to Olabanji’s allegations.

Kazim Adeoti has talked about the qualities that attracted him to Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe years before they became man and wife.

In an interview on Oyinmomo TV, he recalled their first collaboration in 2011 on the film “Hajia Jemila,” where he paid for her role.

Unlike others, Adeoti said Mercy Aigbe didn’t complain about the payment; instead, she thanked him and returned the excess money.

Kazim said he was impressed by her integrity and decided to work with her despite advice to only collaborate with men.

He described her as a beautiful woman with a strong sense of integrity, and their professional relationship eventually blossomed into marriage.

“What I really admire about her is her honesty and straightforwardness; it’s something I truly respect. I remember in 2011 when she starred in a film titled Hajia Jemila.

After I paid her, I was already used to people complaining that the fee was too small. But in her case, she actually came back to tell me there was leftover money.

I was genuinely shocked. At the time, many people advised me to only work closely with men if I wanted to succeed in the industry. But I decided to give her a chance, and she completely changed my perspective.

She’s not only a woman but a beautiful one at that, and still, she acted with so much integrity. Honestly, I never collected that remaining money from her, and we continued working together from there,” he said.
