In a recent interview about his broken marriage to ex-wife Mayowa Lambe, media star Roby Ekpo apologised to those who were uncomfortable with his emotional show.
Ekpo discussed his marriage and its breakdown during an appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast.
Ekpo thanked the public for their letters, calls, and emails in a statement posted on social media.
He claimed that after opening out, he feels lighter and more liberated. He expressed regret to people who had been upset by his tears, stating that he only knew how to love passionately and that suffering can take many different forms.

Ekpo said his focus will now be on his work, career, and personal growth.
He added that he intends to be softer with himself and grow from the lessons.
“Hello people, thank you for all the support and kind words. The DMs, the emails and calls. I love you all. My heart feels lighter and freer. For those whose tears I may have offended, I am sorry.

Pain leaves the body in many forms. Na love I love. I only know how to love deeply. Na the Roby way be that.
“From this point, it’s my work, my career and my undying passion to be good to myself and be softer with myself. Man must see life, but again, man must grow with lessons. I am on a journey! Every other matter is being handled by my lawyers. Thank you, and God bless us all”, he wrote.
Just last week, Roby Ekpo stated that he plans to file a lawsuit with the US government against Mayowa Lambe, his ex-wife, for suspected marital fraud.
This occurred just days after Mayowa wed a different man in the US without formally divorcing Ekpo.
In a widely shared interview, Ekpo responded to the news of Mayowa’s marriage to another man by expressing amazement and outlining how he helped her travel.
Ekpo claimed to have purchased a plane ticket for Mayowa on her latest trip to Nigeria, although maintaining that Mayowa is still his wife.
In response, Mayowa, through her legal representative, issued a cease-and-desist notice to Ekpo and gave him a 48-hour ultimatum to comply with her demands or face legal action.
Mayowa demands include retraction and apology, and payment of N100 million in damages, explaining that marital relationship between them “mutually terminated” in May 2025.
