Maverick rapper and musician Speed Darlington has bemoaned the fact that he is still unmarried in his 50s.
The Akpi crooner bemoaned the fact that, although being close to 60, he has neither a wife nor a child.
Speed Darlington stated that he wants more out of life than he currently has in a recent video broadcast.
He said he ought to be contentedly married with kids at his age.
“I am close to 60 with no wife or child. Is this how I am going to live my life? All I have to show is American papers. I want more than American papers out of life.
“I want family, freedom and respect,” he said.
A few years ago, Speed Darlington publicly advertised for a wife, outlining a specific list of qualifications.
According to the list, his ideal partner must be dark-skinned, between 18 and 23 years old, at least 5’8″ tall, weighing under 150 lbs, and fluent in both English and Igbo.
Years after the public advertisement, the singer is yet to find a wife.

In January, Speed Darlington revealed that his 23 years in the US have only resulted in criminal records.
The rapper revealed this while contrasting his accomplishments in Nigeria with those in the United States.
Darlington, who claimed to have left America with nothing, said in a recent video that he used the money he earned in Nigeria to build his mansion.
While narrating how the US took away his self confidence because he’s a black man, he said: “America did not favor me. I have access to the USA but I don’t want to be there all the time. America no favor me and I’m not ashamed to say it. The only thing I have is criminal records, arrest, arrest, arrest, arrest is all I got from the USA.
“So, after 23 years, I told myself it’s better for me to have access to America. I can go whenever I want to see my family for maybe 10 days, one week or 4 days, and I will turn around and return. Because American society is not conducive for my mental and physical well-being.
