Super Eagles talisman Tolu Arokodare has broken his silence following the reported training ground fallout with Wolves head coach Cesar Peixoto during the club’s training session two days ago.
The incident, first reported by Wolves correspondent Nathan Judah, claimed Arokodare refused to leave the pitch after being informed he was not part of the first-team group, leading to the cancellation of the training session.
Responding to the reports, the Nigerian striker dismissed many of the claims as inaccurate, stressing that professionalism has always defined his career. He also reaffirmed his commitment to Wolves, insisting he remains under contract and will continue to fulfil his responsibilities.
“I was very surprised and disappointed to see the media reports today, many of which are inaccurate.
“Throughout my career, I have always taken great pride in conducting myself professionally and maintaining the highest training standards. My commitment has always been to prepare myself as well as possible so that I can contribute to my teammates and the club whenever I am called upon.
“I remain under contract with Wolves, and my only intention is to fulfil my responsibilities professionally by training, doing my job, and contributing to the team in accordance with that contract.”
Arokodare joined Wolves from Genk in 2025 for £24 million and scored six goals in 38 appearances during a campaign that ended with the club’s relegation from the Premier League. He was also disciplined in April following a dressing-room altercation with teammate Mateus Mané.
Despite the transfer speculation linking him with a move away from Molineux, the Super Eagles forward has made it clear that his focus remains on honouring his contract and conducting himself professionally.
