The France international received 48.2 per cent of the votes to claim the award, finishing ahead of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder João Neves, who received 11.9 per cent, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who secured 10.8 per cent.
Mbappé’s individual performances earned him the recognition despite Real Madrid failing to win a major collective trophy during the season.
The 27-year-old enjoyed an outstanding campaign in front of goal, finishing as the top scorer in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League before winning the Golden Boot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Mbappé succeeds compatriot Ousmane Dembélé, who won the 2025 edition of the award following his impressive campaign with Paris Saint-Germain.
Reacting to his victory, Mbappé said: “I wanted to thank everyone who voted for me to win this trophy. It means a lot to me, and the work continues.”
The Onze d’Or, presented annually by Onze Mondial, is decided by readers’ votes and recognises outstanding individual performances across European football.
