Nigerian content creator Broda Shaggi has finally made a comeback to social media months after his abrupt absence.
Since being shot while filming at Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State in March 2026, the skit creator has not been active on the internet.
The Lagos State police command confirmed the news and clarified that the event was formally reported by a private hospital in the state’s Alakuko region, where he was initially taken.
The claim, which surfaced online on March 13, has left netizens, especially his fans, worrying about his well-being and whereabouts.
However, returning to social media in an emotional video shared on his Instagram page late Tuesday evening, Broda Shaggi said the incident happened on March 9.
Describing it as ” a day in my life I wished never happened”, he showed a short video of him being rushed to the hospital with gunshot injury and blood stains.
He said he would be sharing the details of the shooting with the general public on Wednesday.
In June, Nigerian content creator Jubril Oladapo, aka Officer Woos, refuted reports that he announced the passing of his colleague Broda Shaggi.
An X user posted a few days ago that Broda Shaggi’s close friend, Officer Woos, had revealed the skit maker’s passing in an Instagram post.

“Officer Woos just announced the passing of his brother Broda Shaggi via his Instagram page,” the user stated with a picture of Broda Shaggi. May he rest in eternal peace.
Officer Woos responded to the widely shared post by posting a screenshot of the assertion on his Instagram Story along with the simple comment, “False”.
The video creator called the allegation untrue, malicious, and defamatory in a statement released on Saturday by Versed Attorneys, his legal counsel.
The statement read, “We act as Solicitors to Mr. Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi alias ‘Officer Woos’ (‘our Client’), a respected content creator and public figure, and write this statement in response to false and malicious publications currently circulating on social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter).
“It has come to our client’s attention that certain unverified and anonymous social media pages have published claims alleging that our Client publicly announced the death of a close colleague on his official page.
“Our client has never announced the death of any colleague, friend, or associate on any of his platforms. These publications are entirely manufactured and constitute a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.”
The statement also dismissed another viral allegation claiming that Officer Woos had been arrested over alleged drug trafficking.
It read, “We hereby unequivocally state that both claims are entirely false, fabricated, and without any basis whatsoever. Our client has never been arrested, investigated, charged, or in any way connected to allegations of drug trafficking, at any point in 2025 or at any other time.”
Citing Nigerian laws on defamation and cybercrime, the legal firm warned that those responsible for originating and circulating the claims could face legal consequences.
It demanded “an immediate and unconditional retraction from all pages, handles, and individuals responsible for the publication and circulation of these false statements” and a public apology within 48 hours.
