Nollywood actress Tenia Abraham has died from a kidney infection. The former beauty queen was buried in Abuja on Saturday.
Her Instagram page shared an obituary confirming this. The obituary said Tenia was laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.
“With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Nollywood actress, a vibrant talent, a loving daughter, sister and friend,” the statement read.

The family also revealed in the statement that she passed away on October 13.
In August, Dimbo Atiya, a top Nollywood film director, died.
Seun Oloketuyi, founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), announced the sad news in an Instagram post.
He wrote: “Dimba Atiya is dead. The top Nollywood director passed on this morning. Details later.”

Also sharing the deceased’s picture on Instagram, actor Mofe Duncan wrote, “God no, not Dimbo. I’m devastated. One of the greatest minds of the entertainment industry.”
As of the time of this report, Dimbo’s cause of death is still unknown.
His passing was announced just hours after Tope Osoba, an actress, passed away.
The family of late Nollywood actress Tope Osoba has dismissed viral reports surrounding her death.
The actress passed on Tuesday evening, just a few minutes after speaking with some of her colleagues on the phone and posting “Ogo Tuntun”, meaning new glory, on her WhatsApp status around 7:23 pm.
Her death came nearly two years after she pleaded with the general public for financial aid for her breast cancer surgery and treatment.
Reports had attributed the actress’ death to her battle with cancer.
However, dismissing the reports in an official statement shared on the actress’s Instagram page on Thursday, her family said she didn’t die from cancer.
While urging the public “to refrain from sharing or promoting misinformation that only adds to the pain our family is already enduring”, the family noted that further information will be made public on her official page.
