Ryan Taylor, a British YouTuber and BMX rider, has revealed details of his brief engagement to DJ Cuppy, a Nigerian music jockey and millionaire heiress.
The 32-year-old influencer discussed their brief relationship and the reasons behind the breakup of their engagement in an interview with the Ladders Podcast.
After less than a month of dating, Taylor proposed to Cuppy in December 2022, but she acknowledged that several problems caused them to grow apart.

According to the YouTuber, the performer didn’t seem interested in collaborating with Nigerians in certain professional settings.
“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff.”
Taylor noted that no contracts or non-disclosure agreements were binding them, noting that he walked away from the relationship with only valuable lessons.

“To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!
“I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is.” Taylor said.
DJ Cuppy and Ryan Taylor’s engagement sparked excitement in December 2022, shortly after the pair met during the Gumball 3000 rally.
However, by mid-2023, fans noticed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram, hinting at trouble in paradise.
Earlier in February, DJ Cuppy had prayed that this year’s Valentine’s Day would be the last she would celebrate as a single woman
Cuppy shared the prayer via her X handle as she wished herself a happy Valentine’s Day.
She wrote, “Happy #ValentinesDay to me! Manifesting that this is my last one unmarried. Lord, do your thing!”
The 32-year-old billionaire heiress has had a rollercoaster love life. She’s been romantically involved with notable figures, including former Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe, but their relationship ended in 2017 due to long-distance struggles.
She later dated music executive Asa Asika, but their romance hit the wall around 2020. In 2022, she got engaged to British boxer Ryan Taylor, and the couple often shared affectionate moments online.
