Actress Regina Daniels and her family have received a public apology from Emeka Rollas, a former president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), for testifying against her during her conflict with Senator Ned Nwoko.
He had stated that Regina utilised drugs on film sets about a year before this.
Emeka, the AGN president at the time, listed Jide Kosoko, Charles Inojie, Okey Bakassi, and other well-known performers who had seen Regina consuming drugs while asserting that the actress required assistance.
Regina responded by accusing Emeka of financial impropriety and stating that there was a problem with him.

However, in a new development, Emeka has tendered a public apology to Regina’s family in a post on his Instagram page on Thursday.
While expressing regret over his post, he said: “I regret the timing, the platform and the manner in which I handled it. I made those statements at a time when a family was going through a deeply personal and difficult period. I shouldn’t have taken that path.

Many Nigerians, including celebrities who stood by Regina during her turbulent split from Ned, responded to the news by promising never to meddle in the couple’s disagreements once more.
Regina’s well-known admirer, actor Stanley Ontop, criticised the actress, saying that she betrayed them to reconcile with her abuser.
Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, said in the midst of the criticism that the actress received an invitation from the senator to visit her kids.
Actor Uche Maduagwu, who posted the update on Instagram, was informed of this by Rita in a private conversation.
“It is well, my dear,” the chat Rita Daniels cited said. She said she received an invitation to visit her kids. Many thanks for your concern and support.
