Famous Nigerian Juju artist Oluwashina Akanbi Peters, Aka Sir Shina Peters, said in an open discussion about his personal life that he gave birth to his first child at the age of 14.
In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, the Afrojuju crooner revealed that he started his career at the age of eleven and achieved prominence quickly.
“I started my career at the age of 10. Had my first child at 14. I bought my first car at 13. I built my first house at 16,” he said.
However, the 67-year-old ruled out the prospect of his returning to the music business, emphasizing that the current climate is no longer “conducive” for him to record.
He has more Igbo lovers than Yoruba, according to Sir Shina Peters, proving that his fan base is not limited by ethnicity.
“65 per cent of my fans are Igbos, not Yorubas. My fans are demanding that I give them new music but I don’t just go to the studio. I can’t go to the studio, the atmosphere is not conducive for me. I don’t know what to sing,” the music legend added.

In a recent episode of the WithChude podcast, Peters shared his thoughts on his father’s past mistakes, particularly in regard to his treatment of women and how it has influenced his approach to relationships.
He revealed that Shina, 66, “screwed up” by not doing enough to protect his celebrity mother, Clarion Chukwura, 60, who he said “was blackballed by his (Shina’s) colleagues.”
The 41-year-old disclosed that the experience had a profound impact on him and that he has made a conscious effort not to repeat his father’s mistakes in his relationships with women.
