Popular Nollywood Actor and Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Talent development David Onome Ogbeni popularly known as Dave Ogbeni has received an unusual backlash from His fans and followers for paying tribute to his home country Nigeria.

In the early hours of October 1st 2021 , Dave took to his Instagram page where he posted a picture of him holding the green white green Nigeria flag with an inscription “HAPPY INDEPENDENCE NIGERIA” to celebrate The West africa Country with the most populace black race which turned 61.

When asked how he feels about the backlash the Delta state Born actor told The Union Nigeria, he feels emotional down to have been insulted for celebrating his country which he calls home to Africans.

“However He reiterated the importance of the Nigerian youths to be proud of her country.

He said that Nigeria as a country is facing a lot of Socio economic challenges but despite that, “we need to be supportive of our Country. Today I am proud to celebrate Nigeria at 61.

“I am aware of the difficulties we are facing in our country but the fact remains that as citizens, It’s our collective responsibility to be proud of our It.

“We are born into this country with the spirit of resilience, Hardwork, hope, and creativity. The truth is, we are where we are today because some of our leaders are a disappointment to us but despite that, we are still hopeful because I see a positive future ahead.

“We must not give up on our country irrespective of the challenges. As youths , this country belongs to us all and we need to play our roles collectively in order to make a new  Nigeria possible because to me, being a Nigerian is a great blessing” he said.
