Harrison Okiri, also known as Harrysong, has disclosed that his conflict with Kcee had an impact on his career, particularly on his creativity.
In 2017, Harrysong and Kcee/5ive Star Music parted ways after the singer, who was born in the Delta, accused the record company of unjust treatment, royalty withholding, and creative limitations.
During his time at the company, Harrysong also claimed to have written many popular songs for Kcee. This led to a series of responses from Kcee, intensifying the conflict.
Harrysong revealed in a recent interview with Jusmen 105.7 FM that his conflict with Kcee occasionally prevented him from creating music.
“The beef with Kcee used to distract me, it used to affect the music. Because most of the time, instead of recording, I would be thinking of how to reply Kcee and continue to fight. So, it distracted me. It affected my creativity,” he said.
Harrysong said he has now resolved his dispute with Kcee and 5ive Star Music.
He added that he has also grown a thick skin to controversies in a way that they could no longer distract him from making music.

The father of two said that all of his current girlfriends know each other in a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos.
The American musician Neyo has three wives, and the Reggae Blues crooner emphasised that there was nothing wrong with polygamous relationships.
“I am currently in a polygamous relationship. Every one of his current girlfriends is acquainted with all the others. They are all doing well. And we are happy.
“Everybody is being treated right and respectfully. Everyone willing join. No one was forced. Neyo has three wives. Just do whatever makes you happy. So don’t force your opinion on anyone,” he said.
The singer added that some of his girlfriends are foreigners, including one from the United States.
Harrysong and his ex-wife Alexer separated in 2024 after three years of marriage.
