According to Nigerian-UK community advocate Oluomo of Derby, Nigerian dancer and performer Poco Lee is presently in detention in a UK prison, and his next court appearance is set for the second week of September.
Derby resident Oluomo revealed this in a post on X, claiming to be able to verify information about Poco Lee’s arrest and present legal status in the United Kingdom.
“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison,” he wrote.

He said Poco Lee’s next appearance would be a plea hearing, where the dancer is expected to indicate whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty to the offence.
“His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” Oluomo of Derby said.

On Tuesday, August 18, reports about Poco Lee’s purported arrest in the UK appeared on social media.
As part of his support for the Nigerian community in the UK, Derby resident Oluomo declared he would attend the court proceedings. He asked them to let the justice system work itself out.
“It is important that we allow the legal process to take its course. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” he said.
Rapper Ms Jorji made further accusations on Wednesday, August 19, claiming that Poco Lee had tried to sexually abuse her and her friend.
“Two years ago, Pocolee tried to rape my friend and me; we ended up beating him and pushing him off,” she said.
She also said that asking for sex in exchange for a career is common in the music industry, claiming that other people in the business have done the same thing to her.
