Abubakar Yakubu, the new president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has appointed actress and Brother Naija reality TV star Tega Dominic as a special adviser on sexual harassment.
On Thursday, January 29, 2026, a post on AGN’s Instagram feed revealed Tega’s appointment.
Reacting to the development, Tega, who shared her appointment letter on Instagram, outlined her commitment.

She wrote, “My commitment is clear:
Education, awareness, and accountability, zero tolerance for sexual harassment, protection and support for survivors, safe, and confidential reporting systems, and a culture where respect is non-negotiable.”
Tega gained fame in 2021 after her appearance in the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition of the BBNaija reality show.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has lifted the ban on Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar, allowing her to take part in guild events and movie productions.

Since October 2024, Abubakar has been suspended indefinitely due to accusations that he defamed prominent Nigerians and other actors.
She was temporarily barred from all AGN programs after a two-year probe by a panel formed by the guild found her guilty.
At the guild’s new National Executive Council, or NEC, inauguration on Thursday at the AGN national secretariat in Abuja, departing AGN National President Emeka Rollas made the announcement.
Actors from throughout the nation attended the event, along with directors and other entertainment business participants.
Rollas, whose second and final term ended in December 2025, officially handed over leadership to Abubakar Yakubu.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rollas explained the rationale behind lifting the suspension.
“There were persons that we have suspended according to the AGN law, and because I’m leaving office, I don’t want to leave them suspended.
“Halima Abubakar took AGN to court claiming a frivolous amount of money, but we had our investigations, and we suspended her from all acting and all AGN activities.
“However, since acting remains her main source of livelihood, it would be wicked for us to leave her like that.
