Grammy-winning Nigerian musician Burna Boy has responded to criticism of his recent acquisition of a special 1-of-1 Venuum Widebody Bugatti Chiron that is purportedly valued at 9 billion naira.
Following the announcement of the acquisition, Burna Boy has faced harsh criticism from people who accuse him of spending excessively on “vain things” rather than investing or donating to charitable causes.
Critics also chastised him for bringing the car into Nigeria, pointing out that the country’s roads aren’t suitable for such fancy cars.

He responded to his detractors in a freestyle on Friday night at the Afronation concert in Portugal.
“I buy Bugatti, dem ask which road I go drive am? No be today we dey do road like Julius Berger,” he rapped.
Recall that Burna Boy made headlines last year after socialite Sophia Egbueje dragged him for failing on his promise to buy her a Lamborghini in exchange for intimacy.

Instead of confirming or refuting her allegations, Burna Boy made fun of her for “shouting” over a Lamborghini in his song “No Do.”
Later, Sophia Egbueje declared that she had purchased the Lamborghini on her own.
The dispute that caused tension in the couple’s relationship was well reported.
Bose Ogulu, Burna Boy’s manager and mother, has urged the singer to think about getting married and starting a family.
While commemorating Burna Boy’s 35th birthday on July 2nd with close friends and family, the talent manager gave advice.
Mrs Ogulu begged Burna Boy to mention “good wife and children” as the singer was wishing him a happy birthday in a video from the event that Richie 7, one of Burna Boy’s pals, posted on Snapchat.
I wish for good health and prosperity,” the singer said when asked to make a wish.
His mother added, “Add good wife and children.”
Burna Boy revealed in an interview a few years ago that he is still unmarried and childless because he doesn’t have the time to commit to family now.
He explained that he doesn’t want to have children out of wedlock or have kids without being fully present in their lives due to his busy schedule as a musician in his prime.
