Grammy-winning singer Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, is the top-ranked Nigerian artist on YouTube Music with 644 million monthly viewers.
Burna Boy has 6.41 million subscribers as of Tuesday, according to the most recent YouTube Music rankings.
Davido has 5.04 million subscribers and 25.4 million monthly viewers, Asake has 2.06 million subscribers and 11.6 million monthly viewers, Wizkid has 3.67 million subscribers and 24.2 million monthly viewers, and Seyi Vibez has 500,001 subscribers and 3.28 million monthly viewers.
Rema has 5.55 million subscribers, Omah Lay has 2.78 million, BNXN has 506,000, Young Jonn has 458,000, and Odumodublvck has 310,000. These musicians are in the top ten on the platform.
Burna Boy’s successful run on international streaming platforms is strengthened by the YouTube milestone.
This occurs just weeks after the African Giant surpassed South African celebrity Tyla’s record of 46.58 million monthly Spotify listeners to become the African musician with the most.

The Spotify growth is attributed to the global success of Dai Dai, Burna Boy’s collaboration with Colombian star Shakira.
The song was chosen as the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and gained more traction after their performance at the opening ceremony, further boosting the singer’s worldwide reach.
Bose Ogulu, Burna Boy’s manager and mother, has urged the singer to think about getting married and starting a family.
While commemorating Burna Boy’s 35th birthday on July 2nd with close friends and family, the talent manager gave advice.
Mrs Ogulu begged Burna Boy to mention “good wife and children” as the singer was wishing him a happy birthday in a video from the event that Richie 7, one of Burna Boy’s pals, posted on Snapchat.
I wish for good health and prosperity,” the singer said when asked to make a wish.
His mother added, “Add good wife and children.”
Burna Boy revealed in an interview a few years ago that he is still unmarried and childless because he doesn’t have the time to commit to family now.
He explained that he doesn’t want to have children out of wedlock or have kids without being fully present in their lives due to his busy schedule as a musician in his prime.
