A man who tried suicide has had his genitalia successfully reattached by medical professionals at the General Hospital in Bama, Borno State.
Modu Isa, 50, of Hausari Ward in Bama, is said to have stabbed himself three times in the stomach before chopping off his genitalia.
Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, posted about the event on X on Saturday.

Makama claims that the hospital’s medical staff reattached the man’s genitalia and performed an emergency treatment to save his life.
Hospital sources confirmed that Isa is now in stable condition and responding to treatment.
Security operatives later transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Maiduguri for further investigation.
Recall that on Friday evening in Hausari Ward, community members raised the alarm and rushed to Isa’s aid after he reportedly harmed himself. The incident was said to have followed the refusal of his former wife, Bayanxe Modu from Konduga, to return to his home after he had divorced her three times.
