The Kano State Hisbah Board has announced a massive crackdown on immoral acts across the state under a new initiative tagged “Operation Kano First.”
Deputy Commander‑General Mujahid Aminuddeen issued the warning shortly after Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf donated 10 operational vehicles and 50 motorcycles to reinforce Hisbah’s activities.
“People who go out doing different immoral acts in Kano should know that Hisbah has commenced ‘Operation Kano First’ and anybody caught will be arrested and face the wrath of the law,” Aminuddeen said.
He explained that Hisbah officials had already visited major roads in Kano as part of the operation and would continue patrols in the coming days to “enjoin people to do the right and shun the bad ones as well as ensure reconciliation among them.”
The Hisbah Board, established by the Kano State Government, is mandated to enforce Sharia‑related laws, promote moral conduct, and mediate disputes.
The latest donation of vehicles and motorcycles is expected to boost its mobility and presence across local government areas, particularly in monitoring public spaces and responding to complaints.
