Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she once joined a cult and worked for the devil.

She made the revelation in a confession at a ministry in Tanzania.

The actress, who recently gave her life to Christ, disclosed this aspect of her past.

Speaking about her experience in the film and entertainment industries, Tonto stated that she devoted her life to the work of devils and claimed to have participated in several demonic activities.

"I Was Once in a Cult and Worked For A Demon"-Tonto

“The devil has lost this battle, I don’t care what you think, I don’t care what they say, this is God. In the midst of trying to navigate life in the wicked world that I came from, I had put my hands into so many dirty things. And did filthy things.

“I joined a cult and worked so hard for the demon. I know who he is, and I know that he doesn’t have anything over me anymore. And today, God said no, mercy said no. I’ll take you back and clean you up”,

In January, Tonto Dikeh shared her spiritual journey and how she almost became a preacher at the age of 19 in a widely shared livestream chat after her reconciliation with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.

Dikeh claimed that she had a divine calling when she was a young child, but she fled it because she thought God didn’t want her to live life to the fullest.

The actress cited hardships and divine direction as reasons for her survival.

The mother of one said, “I have always had this calling right from when I was a child. At 19, I was going to be a pastor until I just ran away for no reason. I’ve been in church since I left secondary school. So I’ve known God intimately, I’ve known God intensely, for as long as I was a child. And I’ve always known that I have this calling.

“If you watch what has happened in my life, it’s not ordinary. Anybody who may have or may walk in my shoes may not have survived, would not even survive. Because God called me for something and He needed me to go through all of these things to come out of the firebrand that I am today.”

Dikeh also added that her calling lies in prayer and healing, hinting at the pending launch of an online prayer platform, subject to divine approval.
