Actress and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has announced the founding of New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), an Abuja-based interdenominational Christian congregation.
In an Instagram post, Dikeh described NWPT as a “global movement of consecrated believers, spiritual home, and interdenominational altar”.
NWPT urged members to seek “the secret place,” engage with the fellowship, and ground themselves in prayer in its welcome message.
According to the actress, the fellowship was established to create a place for prayer, revival, spiritual growth and the experience of the “raw power, purity, and presence of God.”
The movement is founded on the biblical passage in Mark 2:22, which states that “no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”
According to NWPT, their goal is to witness a worldwide awakening of consecrated believers who will function in God’s presence and help transform nations.
Its goal is to equip believers, activate spiritual gifts, and encourage soul winning while constructing an interdenominational altar of prayer, revival, and apostolic training.

Flame of Intercession; Intimacy and Consecration; Revival and Soul Winning; and Empowerment through Deliverance and Healing are the four key values that the fellowship identified under the acronym FIRE.
The organisation defined itself as “an intense gathering” of individuals dedicated to God’s objectives rather than “a church”.
Every Friday at 6 p.m., the fellowship will take place at Jabi, Abuja.
In January, Tonto Dikeh shared her spiritual journey and how she almost became a preacher at the age of 19. While in a widely shared livestream chat after her reconciliation with her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.
Dikeh claimed that she had a divine calling when she was a young child, but she fled it because she thought God didn’t want her to live life to the fullest.
The actress cited hardships and divine direction as reasons for her survival.
The mother of one said, “I have always had this calling right from when I was a child. At 19, I was going to be a pastor until I just ran away for no reason. I’ve been in church since I left secondary school. So I’ve known God intimately, I’ve known God intensely, for as long as I was a child. And I’ve always known that I have this calling.
“If you watch what has happened in my life, it’s not ordinary. Anybody who may have or may walk in my shoes may not have survived, would not even survive. Because God called me for something and He needed me to go through all of these things to come out of the firebrand that I am today.”
Dikeh also added that her calling lies in prayer and healing, hinting at the pending launch of an online prayer platform, subject to divine approval.
Dikeh stated, “Prayers and healing are my calling. God can heal. It depends on what God asks me to do. I think any good Christian can. Any firm believer can. At this stage of my life, I’m just letting God lead. God asked me to start praying for people online, and that’s what I’m doing. He’s the one taking me day by day. I’m just a vessel.
“So if He says to do that, I will do that. I don’t know about monetising. My calling is not about money. I was talking to somebody the other day, and I told the person, “You see, there are some people who are just going to be there for God forever.”
