At a small eatery in Borno State’s Konduga small Government Area, a suicide bomber murdered more than ten people and wounded several others on Friday.
It was reported by our correspondent that the event happened at about 10 p.m.
Over ten persons have been killed as a result of the bombing, according to Borno State Police Command spokesperson ASP Nahum Daso, who confirmed the incident to The Intercept on Saturday. The precise number of deaths is still being investigated.
“Yesterday, around 22:00 in Konduga, just unfortunately, somebody invaded a gathering with a bomb, killing over 10 persons,” he said.

“We have deployed our EOD experts, together with the military and other security agencies, to the town,” he added, referring to the command’s attempts to bring peace and order back to the region.
Daso affirmed that an inquiry into the event had begun in order to learn more about the attack’s specifics.
“Investigation is ongoing to ascertain what actually or really happened. The detail is still scanty,” the PPRO added.

Local sources, however, confirmed to our correspondent that the suicide bomber was burned beyond recognition, while several others who were injured have been taken to the hospital.
“It is a busy joint where people come together, buy food and eat. There are passersby and others.
“Everything was going normal until a loud sound was heard. It was a devastating moment. Many people died,” a local source confirmed.
