Following an alleged ₦200,000 dispute, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, the former Big Brother Naija champion, was reported to have gotten into a furious argument at an Abuja hotel.
Witnesses claim that the altercation started early on Tuesday in Phyna’s hotel room in Abuja before escalating into the lobby and drawing attention from both staff and visitors.
According to sources, the disagreement started as a yelling match over an unresolved ₦200,000 financial matter.

When neither side was prepared to compromise, the dispute reportedly grew more heated, resulting in pushing and mayhem within the hotel.
Witnesses further claimed that as other people with ties to the parties involved joined the altercation, the verbal dispute descended into a physical altercation, making the situation worse.

To restore order, police officers and security guards were eventually summoned in, and they used tear gas to scatter the gathering.
The event happened not long after Phyna made a comeback to the spotlight after taking a short hiatus to grieve the loss of her sister in a Dangote truck accident.
A video of Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known as Phyna, a former housemate of BBNaija, partying at a nightclub just weeks after the untimely death of her younger sister Ruth Otabor, has gone viral online, evoking conflicting opinions.
The Otabor family received widespread sympathy after Ruth purportedly perished in an accident in Edo State involving a truck owned by billionaire Aliko Dangote’s business.
A video of Phyna dancing and mingling with pals at an upscale nightclub in Abuja surfaced shortly after Ruth’s funeral. Debates about her behaviour, attire, and the people she hung out with that evening erupted after the video swiftly went viral.
Phyna looked upbeat and happy in the video, as if she was having fun in spite of the recent family tragedy.
The revelation happened soon after the reality star said that her family had supposedly received ₦20 million in compensation from Dangote’s team for the deadly accident.
Others defended her, pointing out that sorrow is a personal experience and that people deal with loss in different ways, while others criticized the timing of her public presence.
