Tragic events occurred on Saturday when Segun “Success” Olanrewaju, a former West African and national light-heavyweight boxing champion, passed away during a bout in Ghana.
Olanrewaju was fighting against Ghanaian boxer Jon Mbanugu at Fight Night 15 of the Ghana Professional Boxing League at Bukom Boxing Arena when he abruptly lost consciousness.
It is understood he was leading on points before he slumped.
A video of Olanrewaju collapsing in the ring has gone popular on social media.

Throughout his career, Olanrewaju won light-heavyweight titles in both West Africa and the United States.
