Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion have announced the signing of Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract.
The club confirmed the move in a statement:
«“We are pleased to confirm the signing of Nigerian international winger Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract, for undisclosed terms.»
“The two clubs submitted a deal sheet ahead of the 11pm deadline last night, to extend the deadline until 1am this morning, and concluded the deal ahead of the extended deadline.”
Azeez made 77 appearances for Millwall, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists during his time with the English Championship club.
After playing for Watford at youth level, Femi joined non-league Northwood. He then spent time with Wealdstone and Hanwell Town before signing for Reading in 2019 and later moving to Millwall in 2024.
Last season, he was named in both the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign.
He has also represented Nigeria at senior level, scoring both of his country’s goals in a 2-0 win over Zimbabwe on his debut in June this year. He then provided an assist in his following game as the Super Eagles defeated Jamaica 3-0 four days later.
Brighton sporting director Mike Cave said:
“We are delighted to add Femi to the squad. He arrives off the back of an excellent season with Millwall, having played a key role for them as they finished in the playoffs.
“He was one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Championship, and we’re delighted to have finally agreed his transfer, and we now look forward to working with him.”
Azeez will now join compatriot Zadok Yohanna at Brighton. Yohanna joined the club from Swedish side AIK Stockholm in June on a five-year contract.
