Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has been voted the player of the English senior national team for 2025/26 after beating compatriots Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane to this year’s award.
Jude Bellingham has claimed the award as Three Lions’ standout player of the year on the bounce after winning it in 2024/25 and now 2025/26 after being voted by fans on the official England app.
Jude Bellingham helped England reach the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they were knocked out by Argentina, and he scored 7 goals in the tournament, finishing the tournament as Three Lions’ top scorer.
“Obviously, a huge honour to be recognised by the fans again,” Bellingham said.
“It’s not something you think about when you’re playing for your country, but it’s obviously a beautiful little addition to the great summer we had, and the honour of playing for my country.”
Reflecting on Bellingham’s impact this summer, England head coach Tuchel said: “I think he was one of the players of the tournament, not only for us but of the whole tournament. He lived up to his full potential; you could just see what a competitor and what a machine he is.
“He just thrives under pressure, he just loves these moments, he loves these stages and it brings out the very best in him.”
