Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen scored a brace as Galatasaray defeated Erzurumspor 4-0 in their second Turkish Süper Lig game of the season.
Galatasaray dominated the first half, taking a 3-0 lead through Roland Sallai, Yunus Akgün and Osimhen. The champions were clinical in attack and capitalised on defensive errors from Erzurumspor.
After the break, Galatasaray controlled the game with less intensity while keeping Erzurumspor at bay. Osimhen completed his brace in the 80th minute to seal a convincing 4-0 victory.
Sallai opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 12th minute, before Akgün doubled the lead in the 20th minute. Osimhen made it 3-0 in the 45th minute, sending Galatasaray into the break with a commanding advantage.
The Nigerian striker then completed his brace in the 80th minute to seal the emphatic victory.
Osimhen has now scored four goals and registered one assist in the Turkish Süper Lig, becoming the league’s top scorers as Galatasaray begins their title defence at the top of the league.
