Funke Akindele, the highest-grossing director in Nigeria, has announced a new feature film called The Four, which will be released worldwide on December 11.
Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Chukwuka, Waje, and an all-star Nollywood ensemble star in the compelling new drama, which is distributed by FilmOne Entertainment.
Award-winning director, actor, and producer Funke Akindele has revealed her next feature film, The Four: No One Fights Alone, which will be released in theatres worldwide on December 11, 2026, after yet another historic run at the box office.
Produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, the announcement marks the next chapter for one of Africa’s most commercially successful filmmakers, whose films have consistently redefined the possibilities of Nigerian cinema.
The Four is a potent, intensely felt drama that honours friendship, motherhood, resiliency, and the remarkable strength of regular women. The film, which is set between the charming Odu community and the bustling metropolis, centres on Esosa and three passionately devoted women whose quest to defend the future of a young man they love puts their bravery, faith, and loyalty to the test in ways that are unthinkable.

The video highlights Nigeria’s unique cultural identity through song, fashion, language, custom, and stunning cinematography. It also weaves together genuine stories focused on hope, sacrifice, and the enduring strength of unity.
The film brings together one of Nollywood’s most accomplished ensemble casts, starring Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan, and Wunmi Toriola. The film also features award-winning singer Waje, Afrobeats star Shoday, alongside entertainment personalities Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun.
