The daughter of Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, also known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, Dami Marshall has denied reports that she was romantically involved with musician Asake.
Asake recently posted a photo of herself with the musician at an event with the tagline, “Mr Money and Mrs Money,” which fuelled suspicions that she and Dami were dating.
She has now made it clear that she is not dating Asake. She clarified that the photo was taken during her initial encounter with the artist.
“Guys, that was my first time meeting him [Asake], so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs, they can do anything for traffic,” Miss Marshall wrote on her Instagram page, shutting down the rumours.
Asake is not publicly known to be in any romantic relationship since breaking up with his Gambia girlfriend, Madame Mystique in 2014.

In December 2025, Karen Lojore, a 20-year-old lady, was killed in a stampede after Asake’s concert in Nairobi, Kenya.
This came a few days after Asake reunited with his daughter and his baby mama.
Tukutane Entertainment, the show’s organizer, confirmed the incident and expressed regret on its Instagram site.
“We are deeply saddened to confirm that a tragic incident occurred during our December 20th concert, resulting in the loss of life.
“Our hearts are with the family, friends, and loved ones affected by this devastating loss. We’re cooperating fully with emergency services and the appropriate authorities as they work to understand what happened.”
This is not the first time a fatal stampede has happened at Asake’s concert.
33-year-old Nigerian mother of two, Rebecca Ikumelo, lost her life in December 2022 at Asake’s concert in Brixton O2 Academy in London after sustaining severe injuries during a stampede.
